Objective

Harnessing the Power of Digital Storytelling and Gamification to Cultivate Problem-Solving Skills


At the Digital Storytelling-driven Gamification Group (DSDG Group), our central aim is to propel educational innovation forward through the Teaching Development Grant (TDG) project. Our journey embarks on the ambitious mission to transform learning experiences and outcomes in higher education.

Develop and Implement the DSDG Approach

  • Designing an educational framework that synergizes the narrative power of digital storytelling with the motivational drive of gamification elements.

  • Enabling students to confront real-world scenarios with analytical rigor and creative solution-formulation through interactive digital platforms.

Cultivate an Engaged Learning Community

  • Building an academic ecosystem where students partner as co-creators, actively participating in the refinement and enhancement of the DSDG approach.

Measure and Enhance Learning Outcomes

  • Strategically assessing problem-solving competencies through innovative stealth assessment techniques, aiming to witness at least a 50% average increase in student competency scores.

  • Fostering collaborative and communicative skills in digital spaces, targeting a 20% improvement through active participation and knowledge exchange.

Promote Research and Collaborative Competencies

  • Encouraging students to undertake small-scale research projects, facilitating the development of investigative and team-based work proficiencies.
